The two men exchanged excited glances as they admired the android inside the glass enclosure. It was the latest model of a high-tech female android that had taken the market by storm. Each android was unique and undetectable from a natural human being. Once his consciousness was put inside the android, he would look like this forever...or at least 2,500 years. The salesperson, standing nearby, couldn’t help but notice the way they leaned in closer, their faces lighting up with childlike wonder.
"I want this one," one of them declared, trying to sound casual as he smoothed over any trace of enthusiasm. "It’s a gift for my wife, you know."
But the salesperson saw through the charade. He had witnessed this scene countless times before. The way they whispered animatedly to each other, the way their eyes sparkled with mischief—this was not the reaction of men shopping for gifts.
"Great choice!" the salesperson replied, a knowing smile creeping onto his face. "I’m sure your wife will appreciate how advanced this is. They’re fantastic for anyone who loves 'tech'!"
As the man nodded and shuffled their feet, a hint of embarrassment flashed across his face. He fished out his wallet, clearly more excited about the android than the thought of presenting it to their spouse. The salesperson rang up the purchase while trying to suppress a chuckle.
After the transaction was complete, the man stepped inside, to have his consciousness transferred to the gorgeous body of the android. The other man would have to look at a different model. Probably one with a more mature look and bigger breasts.
Ever since the new female androids had been released to the public, men were purchasing them in droves and almost always for themselves.
